Right Up Our Alley
• Warm and timeless: Fast-fashion, disposable "stuff" is the antithesis of equestrian elegance. Instead, think classic—deep colorsand beautiful wood furniture. Embrace practical. It needs to work every day for the purpose it was designed. Think elegant—clean, streamlined design without fluff. This has been DandyLion's philosophy from the start.
• Natural fibers: The British influence on equine elegance is undisputed through gorgeous wool products—hunt coats, horse coolers, pillows and throws in muted plaids, crisp houndstooth, and the occasional herringbone. All are exquisite to the touch, warm, and durable enough to pass down. DandyLion also uses cashmere and yak fiber for pillows and throws worthy of the hunt club.
• Plaids: Plaid has long been part of the equestrian tradition, valued for both beauty and practicality. DandyLion plaids span our rustic and couture collections, each chosen for its depth of color and classic pattern. Designed to layer effortlessly and live well over time, these plaids feel rooted in tradition—relevant now and for years to come.
• Leather: Very little beats the patina and feel of well-oiled and long-used leather. Look for beautifully soft leather accent pieces, handsome leather-covered furniture, or used strap goods. Our leather Sol Y Luna products make useful cloches, baskets, trays, carafes, blanket holders—even dog bowls—beautiful.
• Horses: We love the Eric Bonnin ceramic horse—he's our horse show mascot. It's also easy to find horse photography, old hunt prints, sculpture, children's pull toys and rocking horses, and other horse art at sales and auctions.
